Paul E. Tompkins, Jr.

February 16, 1946 - October 3, 2024

Paul E. Tompkins, Jr., passed away on October 3, 2024, in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Muscatine, Iowa, on February 16, 1946, the son of Betty and Paul Tompkins.

He grew up in Muscatine and graduated from Muscatine High School. He was a proud co-owner of P&R Manufacturing in Viola, Ill., for several years. In 1983, he married Jane Smith. After his retirement they moved to Phoenix, where Jane was teaching. He spent his days enjoying time at the pool or playing golf with friends.

He is survived by Jane; and his four children, Tina (Tom) Roberson, Dean Tompkins, Tamra Tompkins, Paul (Meg) Tompkins; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his father, Paul Sr.; and his sister, Linda (Mark) Yearian.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty.

A celebration of life was held in Phoenix in October.

A time of remembering Paul will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Jersey Grille, 5255 Jersey Ridge Rd., Davenport, Iowa. All are welcome.
