Dr. Margaret (Margo) Wichers (Fallon)

Martha and I met in Algebra class our freshman year - due to a seating chart that put us next to each other, Williams and Wichers in the last row of class! It was serendipity, as we had much in common and have been life long friends all through the various eras. We hung out with some of the other "wide women" of our class, espescially enjoying a surprise party when people came to our houses and dragged us off in our pajamas! From sodas at the "dime store" in downtown Muscatine and Maidrites, participating in speech events - Martha was a champian state debater, dancng to the Beatles, supporting President Kennedy, marching for Women's rights & the Peace movement, we were room mates in Boston and enjoyed the stimulation of living on the east coast and all that was going on there. However, though often asked, we did not attend Woodstock, though we had the chance, because we were concerned about there being enough food, which did turn out to be true!  A maid and then matron of honor in her weddings, I encouraged her to call her future husband Mike back when he asked for a date, and what a Naval Officer hunk & good guy he was! She in turn stood up with me when we eloped in Boston. I visited them in Georgia and the Carolinas and we were plannng to attend the upcomng reunion. I will be throwing non poluting enironmental friendly memorabilia in the Mississippi in memorial. Her death was sudden and unexpected, so embrace your family and friends now while you can. Dr. Margaret Wichers Fallon
