In memory of

Dean Sheski

I was contacted by Louise,  Dean's wife of over 50 years.  Dean passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019.

Dean had been in treatment for a blood disorder for about a year and a half.   This disorder turned into leukemia, and an aggressive treatment failed.

Dean is survived by his wife, Louise, daughter Lisa, and sister Rosann Mlodzik(MHS Class of 1969).

Per Dean's wishes, there will be no funeral.

I have known many of my classmates from first grade on.   I have always called Dean my oldest friend, because he is the one classmate from first grade that I have maintained contact with and socialized with over the years.

Dean married relatively young and I didn't marry until my mid thirties.  I was invited to Dean's (actually Louise's) family functions over the years.  I knew Dean's inlaws very well.  When Louise's mother passed away several years ago, Louise's brother commented to me that they had been going over old family photos, and that I was in many of them....I remember when Lisa was born, and now she is in her forties....

My Mary and I tried to go out for dinner, usually pizza with Dean and Louise, once or twice a year. (Sadly, usually once), and I had commented to Mary only recently that I needed to contact Dean and set something up.

This wasn't to be....I will miss him a lot.   We sat next to each other in band, I playing the baritone, and Dean with the sousaphone....Band class wouldn't have been the same without Dean....I am sure we put several gray hairs onto Mr. Daniels' head....After high school, we would go and shoot pool, cruise Wisconsin Avenue, and try to stay out of trouble....I became a perennial college student, and Dean worked in the auto industry, but we kept in touch....

Farewell my friend....

Ron Danielson...

I have not seen Dean since graduation, but I will always remember his good nature. Talking with him was always enjoyable.

I am one who hasn’t seen Dean since graduation but ran into him at Pro Healthcare in Pewaukee a while back. My wife Karen was there for treatment and I looked in the room next to ours and the gentleman looked very familiar. I remembered Dean immediately and we sat and talked for quite a while. He told me about his illness and treatment. We met here for a few tuesdays after that and talked again. I sure wished I had known him sooner as we had a lot in common. I’m very sad to hear of his passing he had a great attitude even with what was going on with him. Gods speed Dean.

All my best to Deans wife and family. He was a heck of a guy.
