Obituary

PEAKE (BERGHUIS), MS. LIZBETH ANNE “LISSIE”, Muskegon.  Ms. Lizbeth Anne “Lissie” (Berghuis) Peake, age 42, died unexpectedly on her birthday, early Friday morning April 25, 2003, at her home. 

She was born April 25, 1961 in Muskegon to Laurin & Lois (Potter) Berghuis and had been a life long resident of the Muskegon area.  “Lissie” was a licensed cosmetologist and most recently had been employed at Meijer’s in Grand Haven.  She loved children, animals and was very artistic.  Lissie was a 1979 Reeth-Puffer High School graduate.

SURVIVORS include 3 children, Dustin & Haley Schaner and Elaina Peake; her parents, Laurin and Lois Berghuis; 1 sister, Lynn (Robert) Huettner; 3 nieces, Katie, Lauren and Megan Huettner and her former husbands and fathers of her children, Roger Schaner and Gregory Peake, all of Muskegon.  SERVICES will be 11 AM Wednesday at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church (1568 W. Giles Rd.) with the Rev. Sherwin Brantsen officiating.  VISITATION with “Lissie’s” family will be 6-8PM Tuesday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue, 231-726-5210.  Those desiring an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the “Noah Projext” Care Center, 5205 Airline Hwy., Muskegon, MI 49444.
