Tony Cotton

Anthony Curtis Cotton was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 29, 1960, to Dafroe and Carolyn Jean Cotton. He accepted Christ at a young age and Loved the LORD. He continued to open his home every Friday for Bible Class and he is a Member of GOOD NEWS COMMUNITY CHURCH in Grand Rapids, MI (Presiding Bishop LonDari Hughes). Anthony had a short battle with his illness. His final request was to come home and GOD made it happen. The LORD stretched out his hand and Anthony reached up to receive it. Now he’s resting in a better place. “Thank you JESUS”

Tony attended Reeths Puffer Schools and participated in Football and Basketball and many sports. He graduated with all honors and cords and received an academic scholarship where he went off and pursued at U.N.L.V.

Tony returned home to Muskegon and worked at multiple jobs until he decided to go into business for himself in Construction last known name Cotton Builders. He was the current Facility Director at Muskegon Family Care of Muskegon Hts. MI. Tony was also a musician and singer; even at a young age he was in music groups. Some mentioned: Black Construction, Elements of Reflections, DreadNaught and he was also with the Spiritual Group “The Michigan Soul Searchers”. Tony was also on the music circuit debuting his album “100%Cotton” and “The Way I Rolls”. And if you knew Tony, he was a diehard Raiders fan and loved watching sports and the news!
