MUSKOGEE - Billy WASHINGTON, Jr. was born February 5, 1959, in Tahlequah. He died December 12, 2001, at St. John’s Medical Center, Tulsa. Funeral services were held December 15 at Butler Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Norman Daniels and Rev. Woody Wilson officiated. Pallbearers were his nephews: Michael WASHINGTON, Derrick WASHINGTON, Chris WASHINGTON, Thomas ADAIR, Thomas WILSON, Ray DEARMAN and Brian McBRIDE. No information was given on the place of interment.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy WASHINGTON, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Rev. Lee and Katie WOLF; and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Martha WASHINGTON. He was survived by his mother, Susie WASHINGTON; two brothers, Mike WASHINGTON and James WASHINGTON, both of Muskogee; two sisters, Cindy DANIEL and Pamela WILSON, both of Muskogee; one uncle, Rev. Robert WASHINGTON of Okmulgee; one aunt, Darlene BUCKNER of Okmulgee; three nieces, four nephews, seven great-nieces and three great-nephews.
