Obituary for Greg Large

Gregory “Greg” Dean Large a resident of Okmulgee passed away on August 27, 2012 in Okmulgee at the age of 52. Born August 30, 1959 in Muskogee to Richard and Claudetta (Burks) Large. Greg graduated from Muskogee High School in 1977 and attended NSU graduating in 89 in then completing his masters. He taught in Union Schools, Allen Bowden in Muskogee and was currently the principle at the Morris Middle School. Greg married Robyn Cunningham on November 10, 1989 in Henryetta, OK. He is preceded in death by his father Richard Large and his grandfather BF Large.

Survived by his wife Robyn Large of the home
Son: Tanner Large of the home and daughter Kylie Large of the home.
Mother: Claudetta “Ducky” Large of Morris
Brother: Mike Large and wife Judith of PortAransas, TX
Grandmother: Opal Large of Okay, OK
Uncle: Virgil Large of Okay,OK
Aunt: Jonnie Thomas of Uma, AZ
Nephews: Chad and wife Ashley Large of Ada, Cody Young of Wyle, TX, Ross Rogers of Broken Arrow
Neices: Lacey Large of Oklahoma City, Taylor Young of Ausitn, TX, Brooke Kilhoffer of Henryetta, Lindsey Goodman of Dallas, TX, Kaitlyn Rogers of Henryetta
Great Nephews: Caleb and Kennedy Large, Peyton Killhoffer
Great Nieces: Regan Large and Taylor Young and Shelby Kilhoffer

Memorials can be made to the Morris Public Schools in Memory of Greg Large.

Service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Okmulgee, OK. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.

So sad to hear of Greg's passing. It's strange to not see someone for 20 years but still feel like you have lost a friend. I am praying for comfort for family through this hard time.

What sadden news to hear of Greg passing:(! I sat next to Greg in many class from Jr High through High School. We had great times going out to lunch riding around in that old yellow Nova- it was jacked up so high that you only saw the hood from the back seat. He will be missed and my prayers go out to his family on this truly sad day.
