![]() It all began in Oklahoma City in the summer of 1967, when Glen and Marie [Bitseedy] Boyd celebrated the arrival of a baby boy on June 11th. They named him Glen A. Boyd, Jr. Glen graduated from Muskogee High School before serving his Country honorably in the U. S. Marine Corp. He was the owner/operator of his own business as well as several other jobs before gaining employment at the VARO Call Center in Muskogee as an Education Case Manager. Mr. Boyd was an active member in the Indian Affairs for Muskogee Public Schools and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching OU football and UFC fights. He also loved all types of motorsports, sponsoring go-carts and 4 wheeler races in Muskogee. He raced everything from a dirt bike to a drag strip bike, 4 wheeler to dirt track cars. His time on earth came to a close on Monday, August 20, 2012 in Muskogee. He leaves to lament his death; his parents, Glen and Marie Boyd, Sr.; his sister, Michelle Boyd, all of Muskogee; a son, Garrett Boyd, Haskell, OK; and his nephews, David Boyd and Aydin Jones, both of Muskogee; along with other relatives, co-workers and friends. You may visit Glen, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 1:15 PM. The funeral cortege will leave the funeral home at 1:30 PM for the Graveside Ceremony at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, beginning at 2:00 PM. Casket bearers will be David Boyd, Jerry McKinney, Steve Mayes, Bob Alberty, Johnny Cooper, Coby Cooper, John Hollis, Gordon Laster, Robert Atchely and Tony Ferguson. |
