 David James Tillman, in his 40th season, traded Life, for Glory on Friday morning, August 22, 2008 from Muskogee. David was born on August 31, 1967 in Denver, Colorado to Stella Tillman and Robert Griffin. David was raised in Muskogee, where he attended school and graduated from Muskogee High School with the Class of 1985. He was employed at UNARCO in Wagoner and Century Steps in Muskogee for a short time. Although a quiet person, David enjoyed listening to music and also body building and was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Reine Tillman and his maternal grandfather, George S. Tillman, as well as a cousin, Reuben Johnson. Remaining to lament his passing; his mother, Stella [Tillman] Fields, of the home; his step-father, Billy Fields; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Sherilyn "Angel" Tillman, Muskogee; a step-brother and sister-in-law, Billy "Juno" and Yolanda Fields, Portland, OR; a sister, Eliza Fields, Muskogee; 2 step-sisters and brother-in-law, Monica and Chris Ledbetter, Muskogee, Marsha "Susie" Fields, Oklahoma City; his maternal grandmother, Missionary Eliza Tillman, Muskogee; an aunt, Ruby G. Johnson, Tulsa, OK; a great-uncle and aunt, Paul and Betty Nave, Denver, CO; 4 nieces; 2 nephews; and other relatives, friends and high school classmates and friends. The family will receive friends during the Hour of Remembrance on Friday, August 29, 2008 from 5 PM to 6 PM in the Chapel of Remembrance of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. Reflection and remembrance will be shared at that time. Friends may convey condolences and sign the online register at www.biglowfunerals.com.
