Obituary for Megan Elizabeth Shea

Megan Elizabeth Shea, 46, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on May 13th, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma due to complications from acute pancreatitis.
Megan was born in Oklahoma City to Larry Shea and Pamela Lipscomb on October 26th, 1971. She graduated from Muskogee High School in 1989. She then attended Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. She then attended the University of Colorado at Denver where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology. Then she attended Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts via an extension campus in Denver, Colorado where she obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology (MAC). She married Brett Harper on May 4th, 2005 in Lakewood, Colorado. She worked for the Muskogee County Health Department in the Tobacco Cessation and Sooner Start programs for the past 12 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brett and daughter, Jordan; and is lovingly remembered by mother and step-father, Pamela and Phillip Lipscomb; father and step-mother, Larry and Shelly Shea; brothers, Patrick Shea, Kevin Shea, Bryan Shea, Miles Shea; and sister, Anna Shea (Elizabeth Tracey). She is also remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins and the sisterhood of friends she made while attending Cottey College.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. John’s Hospital ICU for the excellent quality of care that they displayed and for the wealth of compassion that they showed them during their time there.

A memorial service will be 3:00P.M., Monday, May 21, 2018 at Grace Episcopal Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma with the Reverend Bob Wickheizer officiating.
