Reposted For Terri Spring Rhodes , wife of John Rhodes.  A year ago today, April 1st 2021 we celebrated the fabulous life of my husband, John Rhodes...the stories about him were delivered with passion...we did a little giggling, some down right laughter and even shed a few tears. The speakers that day gave us a glimpse into their relationship with John and what made him so special to them and this world. I will always reflect on that day as one of the most wonderful days I've had the privilege to experience. John was many things but there is one thing you cannot ignore, he was a visionary and proposed projects many could not comprehend and being talked about today! A man before his time...The running theme throughout the ceremony was how deeply John loved and how he was always a voice for the youth of this community. His heart was tender and as big as the Grand Canyon! I was honored to be his wife, to share his dreams and create some of our own. He gave me so much but best of all he gave me all I needed and more to reach for the stars. My husband, my lover, my cheerleader, my teammate and my very best friend...he was my world and will continue to be a part of all things I endeavor. 
After the Celebration of Life, the family attended the The Grand Strand Chamber of Commerce yearly awards ceremony. John was recognized and then he was presented the Ashby Ward Pioneer Award...as I accepted this award I declared that April 1st will forever be "John Rhodes Day." 
So today I remember him with my heart full of gratitude and bursting with love. On Sunday, April 3rd, I will celebrate his birthday! 
My guy, forever, my guy!
