Frederick O'Neil McKnigh

Frederick O'Neil McKnight, the son of the late Frank H. McKnight and his Mother Janie Poston McKnight, passed June 21, 2021. He is survived by his mother whom he was devoted to for 30 years, his brother F. Harry McKnight and his wife Beverly, their sons Derek and Aaron and his wife Elizabeth Shields Galloway McKnight, and their children Gracyn and Hudson, and family members; aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention by name. 

O'Neil graduated from Myrtle Beach High School (class of 68) and the University of South Carolina with honors. After college he was in sales with GE, Polaroid, Motorola, and 15 years with Belk. O'Neil's passion and love had always been music. He has written and had some of his Christian contemporary music recorded. He was an accomplished guitarist and keyboardist. 

This loving and compassionate man will be dearly missed by his family and all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 23, 2:00 at First United Methodist Church Chapel, Myrtle Beach. The Reverend Meredith Dark will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Myrtle Beach music ministry.
