Royce was a handsome young man with a knock out smile. I was most impressed by his kind nature and, of course, his cool convertible. He is missed by many.

One of our first classmates to leave us and in such a tragic way. I thought Royce was one of the most handsome guys I'd ever seen....and with such a nice personality and bright smile. I remember riding in his convertible and thinking it was so neat and so much fun riding around town in it.

Royce was class. This guy wore a suit or sport coat to class. Most of  us thought this was strange. Actually, it was cool and against the grain and really was Royce. Besides this, he was funny and smart. Miss you my friend....

I remember that day when we heard about the accident. We were stronger then. We went to school and there weren't 30 councilors brougnt in to help us cope. We helped each other cope. We talked about it, we cried, we remembered and  we moved on.

Royce and I sat beside each other in the same english class at S.F.A., taught by Dr. Heard. He did not show up one morning, and later I found out he had been killed in a car wreck on Hyw. 59. He was apparently running late for class and tried to pass another car on a foggy morning. I was stupid enough to go to Harkrider's junk yard (across from Gound Chevorlet) to view his car later that day. Nobody could have survived that crash. Nice guy.
