Robin McClain, 61, of Nacogdoches, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Nacogdoches. She was born on October 1, 1955, to Sam P. McClain and Betty Sue Hawkins McClain. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Moral Cemetery in Nacogdoches with Father Joseph Lourdusamy officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Laird Funeral Home.

Robin was born in Houston and raised in Nacogdoches. She graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1974, was involved in softball and the DECA program. After graduation, she attended Massey Business School. In her young years, Robin developed a love of clowns, which led to her huge collection, with the Emmett Kelly Clown being her favorite. She has worked for Nacogdoches Independent School District for the last 17 years as teacher aide at Raguet Elementary School and receptionist at District Support Center.

Robin loved nothing more than her niece and nephew and treasured her time spent with them. She also had a great love for animals, especially her faithful companion of 18 years, “Daisy Kitty”. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and loved our Lord.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Sue Hawkins McClain; brother Michael McClain and wife Brinda, and sister Dottie McClain, all of Nacogdoches; nephew, Jason McClain of Big Lake, Texas and niece, Georganne McClain of Lubbock, Texas, along with many other family members and friends who love her and will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Sam McClain and nephews, Samual Colt McClain and John David McClain.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason McClain, Jimmy Masters, Gill Masters, Lyndal Pierce, Tommy Hawkins, Doug Klepper and Butch Adams.
