Truresa Stansberry

Truresa Stansberry

After graduating from Nacogdoches High School, Truresa completed training and obtained her cosmetologist license.  She then attended Panola College in Carthage, TX and received training to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She also attended Angelina Junior College. Truresa and her five year old son, Ricky O'Darren, were tragically lost in an apartment fire on October 12, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Lee Nealy, her two youngest brothers James Willie Stansberry, Jr and Antone Demetris Stansberry and her father James Willie Stansberry. She was formerly employed at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. At the time of  her death she was employed at Nacogdoches Medical Center.

On the third floor of Nacogdoches Medical Center Hospital hangs a picture in remembrance of her.  She was a very dedicated nurse like her mother  Lois Mozell Mergerson Stansberry.

She was also a very great influence on my daughter, Yvette Dionne Simpson and other family and friends. She was a very loving person.

Lucretia Ann Mergerson - Garfield
