Mal worked for Maroochy Shire Council at the same time that I was working there. My husband and Mal worked together. At a Christmas party I met Mal for the first time in many many years and he had a lovely partner and there were children but I'm not sure if they were Mal's children. Mal road a motor bike, looked like a tough bikie but I think he was one of those guys with the kindest heart. I recall Mal passed away at home one weekend whilst working in his yard. I understand he had a heart attack. He died too young.
