Melvin Keith Elicker, Jr.

Mel was born March 27, 1931, to Melvin and Thelma (Stockton) Elicker, in Napa. He attended Mount George Elementary, graduated from Napa High in 1949 and then UC, Berkeley. He served a short stint in the Army, and when discharged, he went to work as an insurance auditor. Most of that time was with Fireman’s Fund in Novato. After retiring, he worked at a gallery in Yountville.

He passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2013.

He is survived by his brother, George of Napa; sister, Jan May of Days Creek, Ore.; cousins, Connie Piper and Mark Elicker of Napa, Lorene Dahl of Oregon and Sheldon Elicker of Auburn, Calif., Louetta Langley of Carmel, Calif., “Buckey” Vienop of Merced, Calif., Ray and Melodie Smith of Citrus Heights, Calif., Hank Stockton, Jr., of Oregon, and Kathy Trevenke of Auburn.

Services will be held March 5 at Tulocay Cemetery at 11 a.m
