Mary Pighini

Mary N. Pighini died July 16, 2012. She was born in Napa on July 19, 1920, to Guiseppe and Clelia Pighini. She went to Napa schools, graduated from Napa High in 1938 and attended Lucy’s Secretary School for nine months.

Mary worked at Basalt (for five years), Pioneer Garage, John Hill and Napa Milling. She retired in 1981 from the Napa County Auditor’s Office after 27 years of service.

Miss Pighini was a member of the YLI Napa branch #26, ICF branch #12 and St. John’s Church. She is survived by numerous cousins and her caregiver, Linda Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Hennessy.

Visitation will take place at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at 1 p.m., followed by a rosary and vigil service at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. Entombment will take place at Tulocay Cemetery following the funeral.
