Barbara E. Long, 42, of Holgate, Ohio, formerly of Napoleon, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born July 18, 1968 in Napoleon to Karl & Mary Jo (Denny) Groll. On May 21, 2001, she married Otho "Buddy" Long. Barb worked for the Recon Department at Campbell Soup Co., Napoleon. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, and donated her time to Henry County FISH, Relay for Life, Heart to Heart, and Henry County Christmas Cheer. She is survived by her husband, Buddy, children; Karlee Revoir of Napoleon and Richard Long (Kelly Shull) of Holgate, father, Karl (Roseanna) Groll of Napoleon, step children; Tammy (Chris) Wright, Buddy Long, Kenny (Shelly) Long, Corina Long, and Milo Long, all of Logan, Ohio, 4 grandchildren, 19 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, step sister, Ann Lymon of Mobile, Alabama, and step brother, Randy Forbush of Napoleon. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo, and a infant grandson, Kyler. Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 8 at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon with Pastor John Holyer officiating with visitation from 4-6 p.m prior to the funeral. I have always held in my mind a school picture of Barbara from when we were in grade school. I wish I could find it. I am not sure if she was at Central with me, or at CD Brillhart, but I think it was the latter. Anyway, she was so cute and sweet and I'll never forget her.
