What a wonderful time!!! Thanks to everyone who spent so many months preparing for last evening.  What a success.  The music, decorations, food, program and spectacular company made for the perfect evening.  Larry, thanks again for this web-site!!!

What a great night!  It was so wonderful to see all of you and catch up a little.  I can't wait until we're all together again, even if it does mean we'll all be turning 60!?!  Can you believe that?  Some mornings it's not so hard.  But in my heart we'll all be forever young and that's what I saw last night - the spirit of my youth.  It was so much fun.

Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it so special.  Please give me a shout when someone is organizing a get together - I'd love to join in.

What a GREAT night!  WOW!

This 30 year old traped in a soon to be 59 year old body, had a wonderful time renewing old friendships.  There were soooo many of you that I didn't get to spend time with.  I saw David Parsons but didn't get a chance to converse. Sorry David.  I want to say thanks to Larry V., and Jane H. Greene and everyone else who put time into making last night so special for all of us.  THANK YOU ALL!

A Special "Thanks" and "I Love You", to Mrs. Atchley.  It was wonderful seeing you after all this time.

We had some minor problems with the sound system.  I appoligize for the music not being louder, but when you increase the volumn of music in a room, people tend to try and talk over it, so it's a no win situation.  Next time we will add more speakers.

I will add my photos to my profile page later this evening.

God Bless to all.  Now! How long is this grin suppose to last.

Hello dear friends.

I am so glad everyone had a wonderful time!  I worried about a few things over the past few months (you may remember my rant about the caterer) but when you delegate jobs to great people, it just all falls into place.

I want to thank everyone that came to the first meeting at my house.  Your enthusiasm was just the thing I needed to get the ball rolling.

Thanks to everyone who found someone, spread the word, combed through their address book, called parents and  family members of our classmates, searched the web, and called in favors from the CIA so we could get in touch with our "lost classmates" . Thanks to everyone for taking ownership of any project I asked you to do.  You are the best!

I can't name everyone, but I must thank Larry for the website, Barbara for the beautiful decorating, Sharon and Nancy for handling the money and registration, Tim and Susan for an awsome trip down memory lane thru music, Barry for conference call arrangements and muscle power, and of course to Eddie, who took orders from his secretary like all smart presidents do.

Thanks for coming, thanks for sharing your lives and renewing old friendships.  Thanks for the kind words regarding the event.  I wasn't kidding about being a Home Ec major.  Mrs. Ruby Majors at DHS and Mrs. Dorothy Funderburke at Samford University made me the "Susie Homemaker" I am today.  Those dear teachers taught me how to plan, organize, stick to a budget, and either pull off a party for 6 or manage 100 employees and prepare 1500 patient meals a day (I can also put in a zipper, but I digress).  We all owe so much to the teachers in our lives, and I'm glad we got to share fond memories with 3 of them Saturday night.  (Thank you Charlie Newby).

So, if you couldn't attend the reunion, I hope you will be able to attend the next big event, our 60th birthday celebration in 2012.   Larry will keep the website running, and it will be our communication center, so don't stop reading or contributing to the site just because the reunion is over.  I have to be able to find "volunteers" you know.  Now where did I put those birthday candles???

Love and peace to you and yours - JHG

Thanks to all you people who put this reunion together.  It was great! I want to help on the next one.  So great to see all those beautiful faces again.  I think everyone had a wonderful time catching up and just saying Hi.  I know I miss all lot of people, sorry, but there wasn't enough time! I would see you from across the room and by the time I got there you had moved. It did bring back some of the good and bad times we experienced in school in our young and carefree days.  We all need to work hard on getting in touch with the lost classmates for the 60th birthday bash.  Love this website, good work Larry and thank you for so much time and dedication.  Thank you Jane, Nancy and Barbara and anyone else I have left out for the great turnout and great decorations. Can't wait to see "you all" again.  Rita

I want to add my thanks to everyone who had a part in planning and putting on our reunion.  It was an amazing night.   When I got home , I sat down and read the program and realized  what an unbelieveable   job was done with the music.  How long did it take to research and put that together?   I will definitely be keeping the program.  HATS OFF to YOU!!!!!   Is the same music we heard that night  on the Dons Den Music  part of the web site?
