Donna died in a car accident not too very long after we graduated. It was hard starting DHS as a junior and she was my first real friend. She was really sweet but she was also a lot of fun. I remember having a sleep-over at her house and the next morning her mom made us all go out and clean up the neighbor's yards. Donna asked how she knew it was us and it seems that we had "rolled' every yard but the Simpkins'. duh!
This is Jim (Jimmy) Ford, Barbara Lassiter's husband. I was dating Donna when she introduced Barbara and I. She attended MTSU for awhile where she met her husband, AG Marks, Al Gore's nephew. They were both killed in a car wreck on Highway 109 on the way back from the lake. I believe it was in 1974. Hit head on by a drunk driver. Barbara and I had lost contact with her for awhile and after her death learned she and AG lived in Lebanon, TN just down the street from my Grandparents. We both miss her very much, she was always a fun loving and caring person.
