45th Reunion Letter

Greetings Fellow Classmates,

It’s so hard to believe that we are embarking upon 45 years since graduating from "the best" school east of the Mississippi River. The North Natchez High Class of 1977 Reunion Planning Team has been working behind the scenes diligently and excitedly to plan our 45th Year Reunion! The dates selected for our 45th reunion is September 2 – September 4, 2022. This year we are excited to announce that we will be patronizing ALL black-owned business for all our events.

The theme we have selected is “45 Years of Staying Together in Mind, Body & Soul". Whether times are good or bad, happy, or sad; the NNHS Class of 1977 will always Stay Together.

Our tentative event schedule is below. You will find a link to a survey at the bottom of the page that will need to be filled out to let us know your plans to attend our 45th reunion.

Our host hotel will be the Natchez Manor Bed & Breakfast. Our negotiated room rates are below. Please let her know that you are booking for North Natchez High School Class of 1977 Class Reunion for 2022. You are responsible for your own hotel cost.Limit accomodations remaining.

11 Queens - $125 per night (7 rooms remaining)

2 Private King Suites - $165 per night (0 suites remaining)

The following amenities are included with each room reservation:

  • Irons & Iron boards

To meet our contractual obligations and deposits required by vendors, the planning team would like to share with you ALL expectations regarding the payment of reunion fees and the meeting of deadlines. In sharing this information with you now, our hope is that there will be NO misconceptions….NO misunderstanding…..and that FULL DISCLOSURE of all known information is communicated.   

For previous reunions, the planning team has held several fundraisers to help offset the cost of the reunion. For our 45th reunion, we have overwhelmingly voted to not have any fundraisers. However, we hope that some of our classmates will consider fully or partially sponsoring a fellow classmate who may be in need.

Below is a list of expectations concerning reunion fee payments. Please also know that our reunion is open to anyone who would like to attend:

  1. All reunion fees that are listed are “packaged” meaning that you are signing up to be a part of ALL events….and the payment is for participation in ALL EVENTS as communicated!!!!  Whether you attend all the events scheduled, the cost requested will cover your “assumed participation” in ALL EVENTS. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes cost involved in planning and executing reunions and doing each event with excellence.
  1. Reunion fees will cover the following events along with all the planning and preparation:
  • Memorial Service Tribute
  • Meet & Greet
  • T-shirts for Classmates for the Walk on the Bluff
  • Noon Day of Fun & Games
  • Main Evening Affair
  • An outstanding private Brunch at Rolling River Reloaded
  • Souvenirs

Based on all the activities and planning cost involved, the reunion fee for our 45th reunion is below:

$200.00 Classmate only   

$150.00 non-Classmate

$350.00 Classmate & Spouse / Guest

Due to the contractual obligations and payment mandates - NO REFUNDS will be given on DEPOSIT Payments. After August 1, 2022, NO REFUNDS will be given on ANY payments.

Tentative Payment Dates (FULL Payment can be made immediately). A $50 deposit payment will hold your space:

                        50% Payment –1 December 2021 (or a minimum of $50 deposit)  

                        Remaining 50% of Payment - 1 April 2022

If you are able, please consider an additional immediate contribution to the class account to help offset deposit expenses as well as our ongoing Memorial fund expense.

Important Electronic Payment Method Option – We encourage everyone to make all payments electronically through Zelle, a secured online payment service, which offers the convenience of sending and receiving money via email or text. This well-known payment service is used by most leading financial institutions. Please send the payment to northnatchezclassof1977@gmail.com. If your bank or credit union uses Zelle, then you can make your payments directly through them using your online banking account. Some banks call it Zelle or they may have another name for it. Just contact your bank or credit union directly to see if they use it. You can also check on the Zelle website below to see if your bank uses the services. If your bank uses the service, you can do the sending of your money directly from your banks’ website.

If your bank does not use Zelle, that is not a problem, you can set up a Zelle profile at https://www.zellepay.com/. You can also download the Zelle app on your Iphone or Android devices. It is pretty easy and all you have to do is provide the name of our class reunion bank account (please see below for account names) and enter the class email address of northnatchezclassof1977@gmail.com in the designated Email field.  If your financial institution allows sending to a business account then you can enter the Class Business Account Name; however, if it only allows sending to a Person, please use the Class Personal Account Name, entering both the First Name and Last Name as listed below. The money will be deposited into our class account immediately. Please make sure to copy and paste the email address to avoid errors.
