Comments:
After graduating from Northwestern worked for Tenneco, Inc (Aviation Dept.) in Houston and Bakersfield, CA. Employed as demonstration pilot for Gulfstream Aircraft in Savannah, GA, SimuFlite at D/FW airport as Gulfstream Training Program Manager, Philip Morris Aviation in Teterboro, NJ as Manager of Safety, Training and Standards and Milwaukee, WI as Milwaukee Base Manager and Worldwide Aircraft Charter Manager. Moved to San Antonio, TX (back south) in 1997. Managed aviation departments for several companies while in San Antonio until retirement in 2009. Flew corporate aircraft all around the world (68 countries at last count). JoAnn and I relocated to the Birmingham, AL area in 2010 after purchasing a cabin on the Black Warrior River. We have been renovating the cabin for the last year. Has been an enjoyable project.
Began construction of our new home in Birmingham in May 2012 expecting to move in mid-summer.
Update 3/31/13 from Monclova, Mexico
JoAnn and I welcomed our latest grandchild, Griffin Phelps White, born 12/10/12 in Round Rock, TX. He joins an 8 year old brother, Hudson, and 6 year old sister, Emerson (Emmy).
I continue to do some corporate aviation consulting-mostly in Mexico. I do not fly anymore, however, JoAnn and I continue working on our river cabin. We go the river most weekends and its feels like we are on vacation.
Looking forward to the summer and visits from our children and grandchildren.
JoAnn & I relocated to Kerrville, Texas in May 2016. Our daughter and son-in-law are the owners/operators of a Chick-fil-A. The TX hill country is beautiful. I work part time as a flight simulator instructor with FlightSafety in San Antonio. We still have our river cabin in Alabama and return as often as possible.
