Obituary from The Natchitoches Times, July 6, 1989:

David Norman Rhodes, 45, of Provencal, died July 3 at 7:25 p.m. in Natchitoches Parish Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Provencal Baptist Church with the Revs. Glen Flenniken and Brian Kinsey officiating.  Burial was in the Red Rock Cemetery at Vowells Mill under direction of the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Robbie L. Rhodes of Provencal; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman M. Rhodes  of Provencal; a son, Kerry Rhodes of Provencal; one sister, Mrs. Vicki Holder of Provencal; and two brothers, Terry Lane Rhodes of Dodson and Mike Rhodes of Provencal.

Pallbearers were George Linder, Terry Rhodes, Mike Rhodes, Reuben Knippers, Jeff Rachal and Larry Whitehead.
