Charles Mercer "Buddy" Scott, Jr.

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Charles Mercer "Buddy" Scott, Jr. will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel in Shreveport, LA. Dr. Tom Harrison will officiate. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Fern Park Cemetery, Natchitoches, LA.

Buddy, age 62, passed away in Shreveport on Thursday, May 17, 2012, following a sudden illness. Born in Natchitoches, LA on May 8, 1950 to Marie Baucum Scott and Mercer Scott, who preceded him in death. Buddy leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Martha Scott Trinko of Haynesville, LA and her sons, J. Richard Trinko of New Haven, CN, and Karl Mercer Trinko of Haynesville, LA; his brother, Charles Rex Scott of Shreveport, LA and his wife, Alexis; nephew, Rex Scott and his wife, Meredith, and their five sons; and a niece, Kelly Scott Padgett and her husband, Robert and their two sons. Buddy will be greatly missed by his many friends and family members.

Buddy grew up in Natchitoches, attended and graduated from Natchitoches High School and Northwestern State University. Although raised in Natchitoches, he considered Haynesville as his second "home town." He enjoyed a career in banking and Real Estate, as well as oil and gas ventures.

He considered his neighbors on the Red Chute Lane area as his family and treated them as such.
