In Memory

Thomas Schwandt

After a 5yr battle with Metastatic Melanoma skin cancer, Tom took his last breath here on Earth and is now at peace with God, pain and cancer-free

Tom was first diagnosed with Stage 3 Metastatic Melanoma Skin Cancer in 2005. Melanoma is the most deadly form of skin cancer. He underwent surgery to remove a large portion of cancerous skin and sentinel node samples determined cancer in his lymph nodes deep in the groin area

Tom was released to return to work in March of 2006, when he maintained check-ups every 3 months consisting of lab work, X-rays and full body skin examinations to monitor his progress and remove any suspicious nevis (moles). On a daily basis, Tom is conscious of the sun, wears protective clothing and sunscreen.

I'm so glad he came and we all got to hang out with him one last time. One in a million, that guy.

Tom was like a brother to me. Only knew him by name in school but got to be great friends with him after. A truly great person that I still miss.
