Hey guys,

Please if you can all do one final push to get everyone signed up to the website. It's the Christmas season so more people should be home and around then at any other time.

I wanted to start getting some ideas of what the event should look like. As it stands right now we have 84 people on here. I think it is safe to assume we may end up with about 125 - 150.  We will have to decide where we would like to go.  Perhaps a way to support the capitol theatre is to rent it out for our reunion, and then donate to another charity?  I think the Theatre may not have the right configuration for us though, not sure.  There is a bit of a planning committee forming here in Vancouver, so if anyone is interested in getting together for coffee in the New Year let me know!

I will contact LVR early next year as well to discuss having it there perhaps.

If anyone has idea's of what the reunion should look like please post them here.

we could rent out one of the banquet rooms at the hume or sumthing of that nature ? just an idea ?

i guess we've probably got way too many people to stay at a ski lodge, though they can be reasonably priced in the off season. i guess some people would have to want to camp. and blaylock would probably cost more than people woud want to spend. but it would be fun to go somewhere...

hey where the hell is the discussion about dates? (beginning of may would work well for me, or a long weekend midsummer.)

ooo.. ski lodge? Could be fun. I agree- the Capitol isn't right for it. I think it depends on what we're going to do. If it's like a dinner thing, then somewhere like what Jason said would work. If it's going to be a big party with DJs & Bands...maybe there is a club we could book, or  the Rod & gun club or something. We could arrange something more low key for families & more chill people the next day to compensate.

Dates... probably June/July would work better for LVR (schools out) & for people with summer vacation type things. PLus the weather is better in Nelson for us visitors. I'm dreaming of a summer float down the slocan myself!

Lyle, thanks for all the fantastic planning and initiative!

I am down to do whatever....ski lodge/camping sounds great, Blaylocks could be good if we could pack enough people in the keep the price down....I like the overnight idea :)

In terms of dates, anytime after Aug 5th works for me, or May long might be a good option too!
