Tanya Skorina & Kristi Klein. crazy! oh man, so many memories.

Steve Lapinsky, Lisa and Linda... those are my top votes for missed at the reunion....

Duke... the jet is simply a symbol that i will be gone too much, spend too many nights away from home and in a hotel room to girls in their 30s... so, no, it doesnt go over very impressively....although, my ex wife loved it when i was gone. we are still pretty good friends and she recently told me "my favorite part of being with you was your job" ugh... but its true!

see yall later, im outa here for a while....

Kevin, Lee's bike is an old early '84 iron head Sporty. He's customized it a bit with a fat bob tank and a four inch over front end. It's his baby. It needs some engine work though. We use it as a touring bike but it was never meant for that and it beats the heck out of my back if we ride for too long but it's all good.

Yeah, there's lots of great riding down here. The hills are beautiful and riding along the river is my favorite. We have a little place we ride to called Rabbit Hash that is this tiny little place along the river (and is the center of the universe). It has a old general store that has been in operation for 175 years and they have elected a dog as mayor. You have to pay a dollar per vote.

If you don't believe me that Rabbit Hash is the center of the universe, you should see the movie:

What a great day. After the Family stuff, I have spent the day watching episodes of Family Ties on Fancast.com. That Alex P. Keaton!!

Joe - you watching the Wings/Hawks game?

12/06/08 07:19 PM #1224

Nicole Cassisa (Prevo)

Mary - I actually didn't remember doing any of it until earlier today. I'm mostly all talk really but don't let anyone else know. I'm totally enjoying living this lie.

I'm throwing in votes for Lisa and Linda, too! I checked out Lisa's profile. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check it out, too. It sounds like she's been busy since we graduated. I'd really like to catch up with her. (In her defense, I understand her brother actually filled out her profile.)

Jeff - we'd love to hang with you in town sometime if you'll behave. It's odd that I've seen Clint Eastwood around town more than I've seen you.

4. Bulls Vs Wizards
5. Old School

Good game? I guess that depends on your perspective. It's killing me.

Well, the Wings pulled that one out of their asses. Sheesh.

I really hate the shootout.

Jeff, your ex-wife's favorite thing about being married to you was your job? WOW. No wonder why you are aloof, unemotional and detached. My husband is a private pilot. Let's see...last minute trips all the time, flying on most holidays, birthdays and other family events, never being able to plan anything including a vacation. Yeah, I can totally see why that would be her favorite thing about being married to you .... if she didn't want you around. So sorry. Maybe you should consider ending that friendship.

The Harley thing is pretty cool. Had a 98 Electra Glide that i took on many trips. New Jersey,South Carolina,New York, New Hampshire. Pack up the bags and go. There are some good winding roads in Ohio to go down. Does anyone remember going to Alpine Valley Skiing in school. A lot of fun times.

yup... in defense, shes a much better friend than wife...

Jeff, better to learn that now than when you're 50 something.

Jeff,
I have to comment on your "Fight then hug" remark. This must be a new approach. I'm only familiar with the following Murphy fighting styles.
1. The "instant hall" fight. Walking the halls with friends then instantly punched by someone in the shadows.
2. The "boarder cross" fight. These were common around 1989. While waiting to in line to cross back to Michigan, a punch through the window may occur. This was interesting to watch. About the only time in my life to see some get a pummel while behind the wheel.
3. The "Jane's Addiction" fight. Mysterious. All I really know about this style was that trips to the bathroom result in a bloody nose and ripped shirt.
4. The "Heeeyyy Tooommmm". No comment
5. The "Rush Sucks Donkey Balls" fight. I blame those on Christy Steffens.
6. The "Promoter" This is most likely the oldest of the Murphy fighting styles. We formulated this style somewhere between 1975 and 1978. This occurs when you plan to fight but have your brother step in for you.
7. The "Nothings going to split around here except this apple". This was a true toe to toe give no ground fight.
In conclusion, the "fight and hug" is hard for me to understand. Styles 1-3 don't even allow for you to clearly understand your opponent. Style 5 could very well have been the beginning of your "Fight and Hug" style. At the time, you were likely looking for the hug from Christy and not your opponent.

Mike, you just made me laugh so hard. And that's a remarkable feat right now since I have no voice. That was some good stuff.

Jeffrey Murphy

i can honestly say that i am pretty sure i have never actually won a fight in my life... i have had my ass kicked so many times! (usually without warning) you would think that someone with such a smart mouth would actually learn how to physically defend himself as well.... hmmm...

fight then hug... thats me and joey... or me and lapinsky...

thanks theut for the memories.... the best one was when me and matt planned on fighting and then you and dave stepped in defending your bros, so me and matt just watched you and dave beat on each other instead. that was the most entertaining fist fight that i was ever involved in!

Rai Ann Bentley (Marrocco)

Jeff,
I never realize you were such a fighter! Here I always thought you were so innocent and sweet!

12/07/08 01:48 PM #1236

Jeffrey Murphy

you cant call what i did fighting... trust me on this one. BUT... growing up with the theuts and david mack and those guys, well, we were always scrapping... thats what boys did i guess...

12/07/08 01:50 PM #1237

Jennifer Schwab

I'm so glad I'm not a boy. :) Although, now that I think about it, maybe being a boy is easier. You might beat each other up, but then you're friends again right after that.

12/07/08 02:09 PM #1238

Lisa Miller (Shedlock)

I don't know how anyone would fight the Theuts...they are SO tall. Just punch them in the knee cap, I guess. I'm with you Jenn. Boys had it made. They get to fist fight. They get cool nicknames like Toast and Juice. I want a nickname.

That reminds me...I just finished reading Denis Leary's book "Why We Suck". Stop what you are doing right now and go buy it. I could not stop laughing!!

12/07/08 02:15 PM #1239

Michael Thompson

Okay, when did the Theuts grow 10 inches?

Why was I friends with Murphy and Nicole, obviously violent and scary people, and scared of Rai Ann and Wayne, warm and sensative people? Man was a poor judge of character!

I had never heard anyone use the f-word until I heard Nicole singing along to the Violent Femmes at Pesta's house.....and come to think of it, Murphy was there too....and probably singing along!

Anybody notice that Jim Huff could no longer be a front man for a hair band?

If Jennifer keeps up the video of the day until 2013 and our 25 year reunion, how long will it take her to finally get to the best 80's song ever......German version of 99 Red Balloons?

Since Juice and Maki will be having knee and hip replacements before our next reunion, can we skip the football game and go bowling at the Salt River Lanes?? I'm drafting Leslie, and oh yes, JOHN FREAKIN MAZZA!

Hey Joe, are you sure Holly Abbott is not married to Dave Sutter? SO inside, but sooooo funny!

Who's still reading?? I had a great time hanging with Theresa M, and Kristi K. Jenny Trom looked really cute in her pj's. Also loved seeing and talking to Jason Weaver and Marc Valentine.

I think it's official...I miss everyone today. Last week, right about now, Johnny and I were cruising New Baltimore. Good times, good times!

Jeffrey Murphy

i draft john peck... i was with him when he bowled a 296...

anyone going to the neil young / wilco concert tonight?

12/07/08 02:49 PM #1241

Joseph Ales

Hey Theut,

You forgot my favorite Murphy Fight. It's the "get punched with a girl on your back (piggyback)in the back alley of a Windsor Bar" fight.

12/07/08 03:01 PM #1242

Jeffrey Murphy

didnt theut mike theut beat that guys ass?

12/07/08 03:10 PM #1243

Jennifer Schwab

Sorry Mike, I've fallen behind in my song of the day duties. I guess I didn't think anyone would really still be on here after the reunion. I don't know if I'll have time for a song of the day every day, but I'll try to post some now and then. And just for you...
