Mink is an awesome name! I think it suits you. Of course not in an animal-barbarically-exploited-for-its-pelt kind of way, of course. More because it's your last name. It makes a great nickname too. High Life is pretty cool, as well. What do you think Lisa? And Ninja is totally sweet! It works for me! Let's put it in play effective immediately. Thx!

I think Chris Gellash was Skull. I also think he gave himself that one but don't quote me on that.

Sorry Dustin- Dustbin is so funny I can't stop laughing. Not because you remind me of a dustbin or anything. Just because I always laugh when nicknames sound like the real name only they mean something that would be funny to call someone. I understand if you're not fond of it but can we use it? Please? I'm still laughing. Wait- I think I'm almost done... Nope. Still laughing.

Oh yeah- it was Novak! I still think he gave it to himself.

Skull = Rob Novak Not sure where it started but I think he was already Skull when we met in Jr. High. Probably related to his love of heavy metal music. I found a "Vote Skull" flyer in my box of old stuff. He ran for senior class president...that would have been interesting if he won.

I didn't really have a nickname (that I know of) outside of "Amigo de Skull" in Spanish class. I think in HS I was mostly known as Skull's friend.

We called Steve Summerfield "Inspector Gadget" because he kind of looked the part and in 9th grade gym class we were running on the track and he started pumping his arms and yelled, "Go-go Gadget rocket skates!" before sprinting to the end. I almost fell over laughing.

Girls did get nicknames, but the usually were not flattering and the girls never heard about them. I don't think Rai Ann had one because if she found out she would have kicked someone's ass...lol.

Teacher nicknames:

Big M: Mr. Miller
Dizzy Debbie: Ms. Benedict
I think both of these were Skull creations.

Lo siento mucho, Amigo!

Skull originated in Mr. Woodruff's 8th grade class. If I recall it right he said he was going to become a super-hero and get us. So we nicknamed him "The Skull" and it stuck.

Ken, no matter what, even if that is not the right version, that is the best!!

Nicole, not sure what you just said but it was kind of hot!

Nicknames...LeHa, Sasa, Ette, Face, Lunch, Hillbilly, Bobo, Boo Bear, Maddog 20/20 and Flashdance. Does anyone remember any of these or who they belonged to? Better yet-why?

12/08/08 01:45 PM #1303

Diane Barbour

Oh yeah.... Everyone knows who "Booger" was, right?

Dustin Maki

I never said I didn't like any of my nicknames. Remember...if you can't laugh at yourself...make fun of other people.

12/08/08 01:57 PM #1307

Sarah Riley (Goemaere)

the nicknames are great!! does anyone work?

12/08/08 01:58 PM #1308

Jennifer Schwab

The only nicknames I've ever had in my life are:

Tallulah (from my dad)
Weenus (that's what Lee and I call each other)

12/08/08 02:05 PM #1309

Dustin Maki

Hey Di, Ette is Julie Fournier (Palmer). I don't have any idea on the others. Does anyone work? Well not if you believe the latest statistics (at least here in Michigan).

12/08/08 02:08 PM #1310

Jennifer Schwab

Dustin and Sarah... my job is creating websites so I'm online all day every day.

12/08/08 02:27 PM #1311

Diane Barbour

Dustin- Ette is Julie. Leha is Lisa Egleston. Sasa is Lisa Miller. Bobo and Maddog are my nicknames. Face is Carl Pesta. Booger is Annette Bulgarelli. Boo Bear will have to confess to that one. Flashdance is for Mary Franks or Julie Palmer to answer.

12/08/08 02:36 PM #1312

Nicole Cassisa (Prevo)

I can't believe you remember all of those, Diane. Who are they?

Do you all remember getting different nicknames based on the last alcoholic beverage you threw up? Or was that college?

Juice - Mis cumpleanos es diez y seis de julio ;)

Ok Sarah - I'm getting back to work now.

12/08/08 02:45 PM #1313

Dustin Maki

Diane, my bad. I should have remembered Annette's nickname. I guess I was only thinking of our class.

Bob, you should thank Nicole. Don't you usually pay $1.99/minute for that kind of talk.

12/08/08 02:47 PM #1314

Lisa Miller (Shedlock)

Nice one Dustbin.

Hey Ninja - is that true? the last drink we threw up on? Hi - I'm Screwdriver.

12/08/08 02:47 PM #1315

Robert Majewski

My nickname would be Jaeger, mmmm, the devils syrup.

Ninja, If you could only hear it in my head the way you would say those phrases, it sounds slow and soft.

12/08/08 02:50 PM #1316

Robert Majewski

Man, you have one beer with Dustin and he tells all your deep dark secrets.

I'm sorry Nicole, thank you!!

12/08/08 02:55 PM #1317

Jennifer Schwab

Geez... the last drink that made you throw up? I don't remember, but that might be because of all the alcohol.

12/08/08 03:04 PM #1318

Diane Barbour

Well, if the last drink you threw up on is the rule, then my nickname would be Ice Luge. As a matter of fact, so would Julie Palmer's. Same Ice Luge, same night, same evil bartenders, same bucket, same poor carpeting, same humiliation. In a situation like that, who holds your hair back for you?
