Btw, Marty if you're on here, you can set up a Shop with a Cop Cause on Facebook too. It's really easy. If you want to do it and need any help, I'll be happy to talk to you.

I heard he was paying $300 for the whole family. Terrible!

Several homes on my parents block have been broken into over the past several months. Very bold thieves. Not very bright, motivated or skilled police. The neighborhood is pretty much on their own in protecting themselves and figuring out who's doing it.

Smurph - Not sure if your sister knows that. I believe she lives one block over from my parents.

Nicole, I have a feeling that the police are probably overwhelmed right now. Break-ins and robberies tend to increase around the holidays but it tends to skyrocket when there's an economic downturn like we've got now.

Hi all, I have a link from Lisa Miller that she would like to share with you all. It's a really touching video to get everyone in the mood for the holidays.

Sorry the link isn't hotlinked but that seems to be disabled right now. I've tried 5 times to get it to work.

hey ninja, I would never break into and rob my own sisters house...

lets hope the fuzz don't match up the breakins to my visits to nb....

what? im desperate, got bar tabs to pay for and divorce aint cheap ya know.

got a video for you ninja but can't post from my phone... it goes "ninjas... groovy... right?" pretty cool tune too.

Nicole Cassisa (Prevo)

I'm sure you're right about that, Jen. All things considered, I may be way too critical. Even more so because my parents live there and I can't believe that's the safe, peaceful little neighborhood I grew up in. It's just surprising the police have not been more involved in multiple home invasions occurring in one small neighborhood over the course of the last few months, especially when at least 2 occurred while the home owners were home and aware of the break ins as they were happening.

oh man, that's scary stuff. I'm glad that my mom and dad have a security system on their house.

12/10/08 01:47 PM #1502

Nicole Cassisa (Prevo)

I'm sure you're not involved, Smurph. All the same though, I'll tell my parents to be on the lookout for you.

How come you have a song or video for everything and most of the time I've never heard them before? I like that about you. I don't know the ninjas...groovy...right? video, either. But I know the answer. Yes we are groovy:)

Kristi Klein (Logghe)

I was thinking the same thing about Smurphy, Ninja! And Jennifer Schwab is the same way. I feel completely musically illiterate compared to them!!

I must have lived a sheltered musical life.

12/10/08 02:10 PM #1504

Nicole Cassisa (Prevo)

Me too, Kristi. I thought I rocked out with my cool music out. I guess not.

And I can hardly keep up with all the facebook stuff you've become a fan of or joined or are interested in or recommended or whatever, Jen! Instead of exploring facebook for myself, I've just been checking out your wall and picking out the things I like too. Thanks for doing all the mousework:)

12/10/08 02:29 PM #1505

Jennifer Schwab

Nicole, no problem. Feel free to check out that stuff. That's how I find a lot of stuff too. I see what some of my friends are into or causes they've joined and get involved that way.

As for the music thing, I guess I just had a wide range of tastes in music my whole life. I credit my dad for starting it. He was into everything, motown, rock, funk, opera, you name it. And I've been lucky to meet interesting, odd and diverse people over my life who've shown me all kinds music. I probably should have gone into to some kinds of music career except that I have zero musical talent of any kind. But it's such a passion of mine that it would have been cool to actually make money doing it.

Carl Pesta (M Pesta)

Hey all,
Now we can tell who is lurking. Go to the home page and it tells who is logged on. Let me know if you like this feature, or if you like it a mystery. I'll set up a poll.

Carl Pesta (M Pesta)

Of course you can hide your name if you are really sneaky. But it's fun to see who is there. Go to the home page and cast your vote.

12/10/08 03:51 PM #1508

Jennifer Schwab

Lol.. I'm always online anyway. Why hide it? And if it draws the lurkers out and gets them to post once in a while, I'm all for it.

12/10/08 03:51 PM #1509

Jeffrey Murphy

I don't know much about music.... but I did stay in a holiday inn express last night.

Tracey Wolf (Feril)

Hi there Carl -

I think that that's a neat litte toy on the home page - now we can actually see who is out there.

12/10/08 03:57 PM #1514

Tracey Wolf (Feril)

Hey - not a problem that you left out the "e" - my name is spelled wrong all of the time - it all sounds the same.

12/10/08 04:31 PM #1515

Jeffrey Murphy

hey NINJA... made it home and here is the video...

your part is small and comes in at about the 2:20 mark... but its my favorite part of the video. i love how the dino swings his arm around and nods his head to the "right?"

such a fun song... unfortunately, a girl used the opening lyrics to describe what she "really" thought of me. so disappointing... ugh... double ugh... (that was for you carl)

hmmm.... guess we cant embed videos anymore...

12/10/08 04:37 PM #1516

Nicole Cassisa (Prevo)

You're so funny, Smurph.

12/10/08 04:38 PM #1517

Tracy Rutkowski

Any idea what area of NB all these break-ins are happening at?

12/10/08 04:48 PM #1518

Jennifer Schwab

Yeah, Jeff I tried to embed that link from Lisa earlier and my code kept getting stripped out.
