How strange it was that living in the San Francisco Bay Area and one day reading the SF Chronicle I saw David's obituray. I knew someone who worked at his company Levi Strauss I think and asked if they knew him. They did and described his as a nice, quiet guy. I remember he tinkered with radios and fixed my broken transistor radio as we had English class together. I think he was an early day IT guy.
