Marcel J. Collin, 75, of New Britain, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla (Brighenti) Collin for 51 years. Born in Frenchville, ME, son of Normande (Ouellette) Collin of New Britain and the late Paul Collin, he was a New Britain resident since 1955. Marcel was a parishioner of St. Jerome Church in New Britain and more recently had been attending St. Paul's Church in Berlin.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Marcel enjoyed a longtime career as a diesel mechanic until he retired two years ago. He enjoyed bowling, visiting Mohegan Sun, and scratch-off tickets. Above all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Marcel was quiet and demure, but never failed to go out of his way to help others.

Along with his wife and mother, he leaves his three daughters, Marcella Ouellette and her husband Robert of New Britain, Michelle Crossley and her husband Paul of Berlin, and Melissa Czeremcha and her husband Mark of New Britain, and five grandchildren, Patrick Kane, Bella Crossley, Gabriella Crossley, Nathan Czeremcha and Tyler Czeremcha. He also leaves his siblings, Luc Collin and his wife Diane of FL, Patrick Collin and his wife Susan of FL, Diane Grajewski of New Britain, Steven Collin of New Britain and Susan Biardi of Bristol and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Phil, Jean and Kenny Collin.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 461 Alling St., Berlin. He will be laid to rest with military honors following the mass in the CT State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
