John grew up on the family farm on New Carlisle Pike. He was an only child. Since we lived so close together, we spent Sunday afternoons playing Monopoly, Parcheesi, or shooting baskets. We attended Donnelsville Elementary. In Mrs Spacht's class, we had to build a telegraph. John and I never did learn the Morse Code, but we sure shocked ourselves building the telegraph's in Mr Gableman's shop! John was a smart student -- always straight A's in grade school (maybe he did learn the Morse Code.) Heard he went to Ohio State in Columbus. Sorry to say we didn't keep in touch -- he was a good friend.
I was in the band with John and later he dated my cousin, Diana, and married my wife's high school friend Patty. Don't know if either know he passed. Anybody know why?
