Susan C. Gosser


Susan C. Gosser, 62, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness. She was born July 4, 1949, in New Castle, to the late Tom and Gladys (Sosby) Mix.

A 1967 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler Memorial High School, she retired from the State of Indiana in 2003 as a computer analyst, working at New Castle State Developmental Center and Social Security Administration. She also previously worked for Roy Garvin D.V.M. at New Castle Animal Clinic. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge in New Castle. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was a lover of all animals.

Survivors include two children, Sabrina Gosser of New Castle and Stephen Gosser of Kokomo; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Kathy (husband Walter) Rector of New Castle, Denise Dean of New Castle and Clydia Mix of New Castle; four brothers, Doyle Mix of New Castle, Richard Neal of New Castle, Jack (wife Jamie) Mix of Alice, Texas, and Curtis Neal of New Castle; several nieces and nephews; and her miniature schnauzer, Tony.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Crystal Neal; and a brother, Steve Mix.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
