Ricky Rogers

He was born September 29, 1953 in New Castle the son of Murl and Mary Lou Casty Rogers.

He was a lifelong New Castle resident and a 1972  graduate  of New Castle  Chrysler  High School. He was a member of the Cross Roads Church of God. He was an E.M.T. for New Castle First Aid Unit and Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had also worked for Indiana Soldier and Sailors Home, was a stylist at Bob's Barber Shop and Heritage Style Forum, also worked for Chrysler Corporation, and worked for Ford Motor Company in Connersville, Indiana, and managed Long John Silvers.

He loved spending time with his family, and riding motorcycles.

Left to cherish his loving memory include 3 daughters, Shalei Rogers (Justin Hunt), Tasha Boyd (husband Robert), and Kayla Newman Adkins (husband Shane) all of New Castle, Indiana; 3 sons, Caleb Rogers, Gabe Rogers of Louisiana, and Scott Newman of Martinsville, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, Makenna, Kaytlin, Madisyn, Lillyin, Preston, Davis, Logan, Gabrielle, and Brooke; his mother, Mary Lou Rogers; sister, Susan Houser; nephew, Brett Houser all of New Castle, Indiana; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Elijah Rogers; his father, Murl Rogers; and grandparents.

Calling will be from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home &  Cremation  Services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the funeral home with Reverend Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
