Matthew Corey Chapman died on July 8, 1997 at the age of 23. He was laid to rest on July 12, 1997 in Sulphur Cemetery. He had a little girl named Brittany Jean Kendall.
Corey was such a sweetheart, and is missed deeply. After graduation he and I went and had a few drinks and talked, the kindest heart you would ever want to meet. I still have images of him sliding across the dance floor at prom, and almost beheading himself with a table. Those were awesome times, just wished he was here to share them now.
I remember reading his obituary in the Courier Journal. It's been several years ago. I just could not believe it when I read it. I remember him always being so full of life, and he was usually wearing that big mischievous grin. He could be so aggrevating, and at times, so very sweet. I don't recall all the details from his obit, but I think he had a little girl at the time of his death and that he was found in his home. If I find out any more, I will update this message. He is sadly missed.
