I recall Michelles battle with Lupus, a terrible autoimmune disease, while we were in high school. I asked her about it since she came to school one day looked ill, and she explained her situation to me. When 2 yrs ago I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease, also an auto imunne disease, I thought of Michelle and her fight of her disease. I can only hope to be half as brave as Michelle. I am especially saddened by this loss of a beautiful soul. I am sure she only got better as a person as she became a grown woman, a wife and a mother. God Bless her husband, parents, siblings and her twin children. We MUST CURE diseases like Lupus, so no more children have to grow up without a mother, no more husbands not grow old with their soulmates and no more class reunions without a beloved classmate and friend.
