Smith, DiAnn C. (nee Dietz) Age 66 of Fridley, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with Ovarian cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Dan and Colleen Dietz, and brother, Kevin Dietz. Survived by husband, Rick Smith; children, David Mockenhaupt, Jody Mockenhaupt, Dan (LeeAnn) Mockenhaupt; step children, Steve (Laurie) Smith, Julie (Kevin) Kramer, Mike (Toni) Smith; and 9 grandchildren; brothers, Dick (Cheryl) Dietz, Bill (Carol) Dietz, Doug (Charlene) Dietz, and Al (Laurie) Dietz; and nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. Funeral service Saturday, September 25, 11 AM with visitation 10 AM at Billman-Hunt Chapel, 2701 Central Ave NE, Mpls. A special "thank you" to Dr. David King and the staff at MN Oncology, and all the doctors and staff at Unity Hospital and the staff at Fairview Healthcare.
