Richard A. Walerius of Union Hill was killed in a farm accident on December 27, 1962 at the age of 19.

Richard was born at New Prague, MN a son of Gregory and Amalia Walerius on July 23,1943.

He attended grade school at St John’s Grade School in Union Hill  and New Prague High School.

He was a active youth, bowled on a team, member of the Knights of  Columbus, the Catholic Aid Association and the Union Hill Baseball Club.

He is survived by his mother: Amalia Walerius, two sisters, Joan Walerius and Shirley (Walerius) Pint and one brother, Donald Walerius.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Gregory on October 15, 1956.

Funeral services were held at St John’s Catholic Church at Union Hill, on Monday, December 31, 1962 at 10:00 A.M., with the Rev Marcellin Mescher offering the mass. Members of the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Aid Association attended the service in a body.

Interment was in the parish cemetery at Union. Hill. MN
