Jean Davisson (Hume)

C. Jean Humes, 58, of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon following an extended illness.

Jean was born April 5, 1946, in Newark and was a graduate of Newark High School. She had lived in the Knox County area since 1965 and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mount Vernon.

Surviving are her son, Jay (Shawna) Humes of Mount Vernon; her daughter, Cheryl (Ken) Saul of Columbus; her father, Wayne H. Davisson of Newark; an extended family member, Stephanie Canter of Mount Vernon; a brother, Wayne "Butch" Davisson of Newark; a sister, Barb (Dan) Weakley of Sioux city, Iowa; stepbrothers Ed Lescaleet of Cincinnati, and Gary Lescaleet and John Lescaleet, both of Newark; and stepsisters, Catherine (Charles Huntzinger) Buxton of Granville and Dianna Lescaleet of Newark.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara (Armspoker) Davisson and her stepmother, Alice Jean Davisson.

Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where the funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m.
