Patricia (Patti) Ann Thomas, 56, of Newark, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012, of pancreatic cancer. She was born June 30, 1956, in Ripley, West Virginia, a daughter of James H. and Loretta C. Thomas of Newark.

Patti retired after 27 years at Diebold and made many friends with whom she remained close. She loved to play the slots and always had fun wherever she was. She will be sadly missed by all.

She leaves behind a daughter, Marsha Dawn Thomas of Newark; her one and only grandson Sabien Michael Thomas, 2 years old of Newark; her boyfriend and companion, William Athey of Newark; her sister, Judy (David) Sheets of Ripley, West Virginia; her brother James D. (Bonnie) Thomas of Newark, 2 nieces, 5 nephews, 11 great nieces and 2 great nephews and many close friends.

Friends and family may call 5-8PM Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral home, 985 N. 21^st Street, Newark. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Marie Mulford officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
