NEWARK: A funeral service for Shelly (Chatterton) Sattelmyer of Newark will be held at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Shelly was born in Newark on October 7, 1954. She died Friday, July 27, 2012 at Selma Markowitz Care Center. She was 57.

Preceded in death by her father, Dick Chatterton; Shelly will be missed by her loving husband of 30 years, Jack; children, Nicole Cunningham, Bryan Sattelmyer, and Tony (Lori) Sattelmyer; three grandchildren; mother, Judith Israel; brothers, Rick (Rockie) Chatterton, Todd (Cheryl) Chatterton, and Jeff Chatterton; sister, Shelby (Brian) Osborn; aunt, Karen (Kenny) Bryan; and uncle, Jerry (Tam) Snoor.

Shelly was a graduate of Newark High School and attended both Granville High School and St. Petersburg Junior College. She lived in Seminole, Florida for 30 years and has lived in Newark for the past 11 years. She was most recently employed with Consumer Support Services in which she went above and beyond to care for the people whom she served.

Shelly was very independent and could accomplish anything she wanted in life. While in Florida, Shelly ran a support group for parents with troubled children. Shelly was a good hearted person, loved animals, and will be dearly missed.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
