NEWARK: Funeral services for David R. Lees will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday January 13, 2014 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st Street, Newark with Pastor Wes Humble presiding. Interment will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and acquaintances 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Mr. Lees, age 59, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at his home. He was born July 29, 1954 in Newark, Ohio the son of Bernard and Carol (Brownfield) Lees. David was a WalMart employee and a former employee of Owens Corning.David is survived by his wife of 24 years Grace (Phillips) Lees; sons Ray (Michelle) Phillips of Columbus, David Lees Jr. of Newark and Kevin Lees of Newark; granddaughter Faryn Phillips; sisters Deborah Lees, Rebecca (James) Untied: brother Daniel R. (Bonita) Lees; step mother Nancy Lees; step brothers Lee (Sue) Ashcraft, Tom Ashcraft; step sister Deborah (Pat) Bennett as well as numerous nieces and nephewsIn addition to his parents, his brother Robert Lees preceded David in death.The family suggests memorial gifts, in David's name, made to the American Cancr Society.
