Wendi was a great friend. I remember when she moved here in 4th grade in Curtis. I thought she was just so cool. When I came back to Newberry in 2000 to teach I was very surprised that the next year I had her nephew in my first grade class. Now my son Kyle, and Wendi's nephew Dustin, are very good friends and have played hockey on the same team for 8 years. It is strange how life plays out. I wish she could've been here.

Many of you may not know or remember Wendy Brown - she was pretty quiet & shy!!She was sweet and very smart and had a great smile and laugh!!
I think of her sometimes! It's a shame she had to die so young (7th grade)! Miss you Wendy!!
