I remember smoking cigarettes in Lana's mother's bathroom in the 6th grade - where I also first saw a bidet. She was so out there and I loved walking up that driveway hill to her house. Though we lost touch in later years, I am saddened to know she has passed. Her light in this world was beautiful.
When I think of Lana Summers, I picture a beautiful, quite shorter than I, streaked hair, long nailed teenager. I see her with her besties Cathy Nutting, and Arlene Rittenberg. I see her at Raynace functions. And, I picture us all in her bedroom near Newton Center in the beautiful house up the hill.
Oh, to be back in that time, with all of our futures ahead. Rest in peace, Lana.
Hello All.. I remember Lana.. She lived on one side of Newton Center plaground and me on the other.. As a new member of the public schools Weeks Jr. High that was a BIG step from Catholic schools. Looking back she had Big Hair and always a head band. Kool. Her picture in the Weeks class surrounded by her girlfriends is a classic.. Great memory's at an innocent time..

She will always be remembered. May she rest in peace with God and all the righteous who are no longer with us on earth. She was a wonderful person.
