David Reid Nelson was born January 3, 1946  in Hutchinson, KS. 
David enlisted in the Marine Corps. He served during the Vietname Conflict. Tour or enlistment date of 11-12-1967. Rank of Lance Corporal. Served with Force Logistical Command, 7th Mountain Battalion, B Company. Service occupation of Motor Vehicle Operator. David experienced a serious casualty and/or loss of life and/or was declared dead on Juy 4, 1968 . This occurred in or around South Vietnam, Quang Nam province. Circumstances of casualty attributed to .. "Died through hostile action .. artillery rocket mortar".
