It seems unbelievable to me that there isn't a rose after Ann Adam's name on our Classmate Profiles.  Somewhere along the road to graduation, most all of us knew Annie, but we just can't seem to remember where or when or why.  And tonight I realized why.  I just finished reading Patsy Archibald's memories of Dorothy Sells, and it helped me realize why I couldn't think of something specific to say about a girl who I knew most of my school life.  She, as Patsy said of Dorothy, seemed to me to have kept a low profile.  Which means, of course that she wasn't in my circle of close friends.  But my circle of friends wasn't the only group of nice kids in school, because if it had been, Annie, and many others would have been in it.  It is my loss, not her's.  But Annie was a classmate who was quiet, friendly when you gave her a chance, and one of our friends whether we knew it or not.  I hope she had a good life, and I'm sorry I didn't know her better.
