Ivan was a big burly guy with a big heart and an even bigger smile! Since I didn't have either wheels or a way to get to the 1960 Carmel sectional Ivan offered me a ride. When he picked me up it was snowing rather briskly. Thinking the snow would soon abate off we headed. About halfway to Wesfield it became obvious we could go absolutely "NOWHERE". We hiked very slowly to a nearby farm house and ended up spending the night with six or eight other stranded travelers. I'm sure neither of us ever forgot that night. Thanks for the lift buddy!
3/24/2010 12:12:00 AM Ivan O. Roudebush The Times Ivan O. Roudebush, 65, of Cutler, passed away at his home March 21, 2010 losing a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born Sept. 8, 1944 in Noblesville he was the son of Russell and Francis (Clark) Roudebush. He graduated from Noblesville High School in 1962. His first marriage was to Ila Pitcock and they later divorced. On May 9, 1987 he married Beth Stout in Noblesville. He was a meat-cutter, and worked at several Kroger stores for 34 years, retiring from the Dixon Road Kroger in Kokomo in 2009. He enjoyed building and repairing guns but was happiest shooting them. He was an active member of the Deer Creek Regulators, shooting at Deer Creek Conservation Club at Jonesboro, Ind. where he was a level 2 range officer. Survivors include his wife Beth; sons, Rusty (Christine) Roudebush of Kentucky and David Roudebush of Noblesville; stepsons, Ray Stout of Frankfort and Barry (Cherie) Stout of Virginia; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, including his two special 'little shooters' Colleen and Zeke; sister, Ellen (Don) Wethington of Noblesville; one niece; two nephews; and six great-nieces and nephews. Visitation is 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St. in Noblesville. In lieu of flowers please make donations to cancer research.
