Rest in Peace Dear Denise Denise is very missed. My memories of her are her smiling bright face, her friendship with Mary W. Her laughter. Everytime I go to Norfolk track meets I see a reminder of her for winning state in shot put...there is a big sign up there with her name on it....So sad that we lost her ...Lori Gentzler
Oh how I miss my best friend, Denise! We had so many good times participating and competing in volleyball, basketball and track together. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for you!
I got to know her family so well and to this day I keep in contact with them all! I was so very PROUD of her when she won the shot put at the STATE MEET! She had accomplished her goal and was so proud of it!
I will never forget the day Tammy Grasshorn Mefford called me with the news! We hopped in the car and drove to her funeral with Danner, Wentling, Grasshorn and a few others. What a very sad day! I miss you dearly Denise and think of you often! ~Shari~
