James Paul Benjey, Jr., 50 of Mahomet, formerly of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.

His visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 22 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association or the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (www.msf-usa.org)

James was born July 26, 1970 in Bloomington, the son of James Paul and Carol Sigler Benjey, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Riggle of Bloomington, his father, James Paul (Delores) Benjey, Sr. of Bloomington; a brother, Rev. Brian E. Benjey of Hitchcock, TX; two nieces, Savanna Benjey of College Station, TX and Sierra Benjey of LaMarque, TX; his former sister-in-law, Jana Benjey of LaMarque, TX; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

James graduated from University High School in 1988. He worked as a machinist for HL Precision Manufacturing, LLC.
